Born within a year of each other, Lauren (Nora-Jane Noone) and Kelly (Nika McGuigan) were inseparable when they were younger. But following their mother’s mysterious death, the two have been torn apart.

Keen to escape their insular town, Kelly disappeared a year ago and Lauren’s life has been on hold ever since. When Kelly unexpectedly returns, however, every unsaid, raw emotion surges between the sisters.

As they begin to relive memories of their mother, their bond grows stronger than ever. But Kelly’s desire for the truth is dangerously reignited. As she digs deeper, not everyone is ready to reveal the truth.

In this border town, secrets are meant to stay buried and Lauren has been keeping the biggest one of all.

This simmering drama is a compelling and emotionally rich tale from the award-winning debut director, Cathy Brady. Intimate, politically-charged and thought-provoking, Wildfire is one of the best new British films in recent years.
