Director: Marley Morrison
Starring: Nell Barlow, Ella Rae-Smith, Jo Hartley

No 17-year-old dreams of spending a week with their family at the British Seaside. For socially conscious AJ (Nell Barlow), planning her gap year knitting jumpers for elephants is much more appealing.

Yet, she finds herself on a four-hour car journey to the Dorset coast with her mum Tina (Jo Hartley, This Is England) and little sister Dayna.

Determined to create quality family time together, Tina has also invited her pregnant oldest daughter Lucy (Sophia di Martino, Loki) and Lucy’s boyfriend Steve (Samuel Anderson) along as well. AJ expects this to be a week of hell.

That is, until she lays eyes on the resident lifeguard Isla (Ella-Rae Smith) and is instantly infatuated.

Capturing a wholly relatable coming-of-age tale amidst the ups and downs of the quintessential British family holiday, Marley Morrison’s award-winning debut feature Sweetheart is a sharply observed comedy set in an English holiday park.
