Director: Billie Piper
Starring: Billie Piper, Leo Bill, Kerry Fox, David Thewlis, Lily James

Pitch-black comedy Rare Beasts is Billie Piper‘s acclaimed directorial debut. Written by and starring Piper, the film is the dark, funny and failed love story of Mandy and Pete.

Mandy (Piper) is a modern woman in a crisis. Raising a son in the midst of a female revolution, mining the pain of her parents’ separation and professionally writing about a love that no longer exists, she falls upon Pete (Leo Bill), a troubled soul who is searching for sense of belonging and worth.

Radical, laugh-out-loud funny and wonderfully original, Rare Beasts is the perfect follow-up for fans of Piper’s recent TV smash hit, I Hate Suzie.
