Starring: Tom Burke, Siobhan Hewlett, Ellie Bamber, Alan Moore

Alan Moore‘s exhilarating depiction of Northampton comes to the Filmhouse for one night only!

Fletcher Dennis (Tom Burke), a frighteningly focussed man of many talents, passports and identities, arrives in Northampton – England’s broken heart.

The haunted midlands town has collapsed into a black hole of dreams, and Fletcher discovers this new territory is as at least as strange and dangerous as he is.

Attempting to locate a valuable artefact for his insistent client, he finds himself sinking in a twilight world of dead Lotharios, comatose sleeping beauties, Voodoo gangsters, masked adventurers, unlikely 1930s private eyes and violent chiaroscuro women… and that’s when the town is still awake.

As darkness falls, Fletcher discovers another world entirely while Northampton sleeps – a realm of glittering and sinister delirium much worse than any social or economic devastation.

Welcome to the British nightmare, with its gorgeous flesh, luminous light-entertainment monsters and hallucinatory austerity.

Welcome to The Show.

we are delighted to confirm the screening will feature a pre-recorded introduction from alan moore and be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director Mitch Jenkins
