This Autumn, the line-up across Northapton Filmhouse and Royal & Derngate features films and shows that celebrate trailblazing women, including Judy (based on the Made in Northampton production of End Of The Rainbow), Calendar Girls The Musical and Made in Dagenham. Our Disrupt-Hers season of films explores the vibrant and rousing stories of women who forged their own path and whose triumphs inspired writers and musicians to follow them from stage to screen and back again.

Based on Jim Cartwright‘s play (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice), Jane Horrocks reprises her role as the reclusive LV. When her mother’s boyfriend (Michael Caine) hears LV perfectly mimicking Shirley Bassey and Judy Garland, he vows to make her a star. Co-starring Brenda Blethyl, Ewan McGregor and Jim Broadbent.
