This coming-of-age drama tenderly evokes lost childhood and troubled growth. Femi, a British boy of Nigerian heritage, moves to inner London to live with his mum after a happy childhood in idyllic Lincolnshire. Struggling with the unfamiliar culture and values of his new environment, he attempts to figure out the right path to take.
Shola Amoo‘s sophomore effort premiered at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema and features the breakout performance of Sam Adewunmi, as the troubled Femi.
