Adapted from Donna Tartt‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the sprawling epic, The Goldfinch, focuses on Theodore Decker (Ansel Elgort), whose teenage life tragically changes when his mother is killed by a bomb at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Confused and in the rubble of tragedy, Theodore steals a priceless piece of art known as The Goldfinch.

Directed by John Crowley (Brookyln), the compelling odyssey of grief, guilt, reinvention and redemption features Nicole KidmanSarah Paulson and Jeffrey Wright, with cinematography from Academy-Award winner, Roger Deakins (SkyfallBlade Runner 2049).

The screening on Wed 2 October at 2.30pm is Silver Screen – our weekly matinees aimed at ages 60 and over with tickets at £7. Under-60s are welcome at these screenings, standard ticket prices apply.

 

The screening on Mon 7 October at 8.20pm has descriptive English language subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. All are welcome at these screenings
