As we commemorate Armistice Day, we take a look at how World War I impacted our town with this local documentary. Weeks after war was declared on 4th August  1914 Northampton effectively became a garrison town of some 16,000 Welsh troops. The focus of attention of these ‘welcomed but uninvited guests’ became Northampton’s Racecourse. This is the story of this small piece of land during the war years.
