Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, Bridget Jones’s Diary introduced the world to Helen Fielding‘s iconic heroine, played charmingly by Renée Zellweger, and her two dashing suitors – Mark (Colin Firth) and Daniel (Hugh Grant).

In this delightful rom-com, Bridget Jones is a binge-drinking, chain-smoking 32 year-old British woman trying to keep her love life in order while also holding down her job as a publisher.

At a Christmas party, her parents try to set her up with their neighbours’ son, Mark. After he snubs her, Bridget starts to fall for her handsome and womanising boss Daniel. Daniel reveals he was once friends with Mark and warns her against him. But when Bridget discovers Daniel is cheating on her, she begins to wonder if she was wrong about Mark after all.

Flirty, romantic and packed with laugh-out-loud moments, Bridget Jones’s Diary is the quintessential modern British rom-com.
